Another card illustration for "A Game of Thrones" [link] which I did a while ago, I didn't want to send the whole set, but this one caught my eye eventually because I kind of like the scenery and background... Well, hope you like it...

Photoshop 7.0 with Intuos2 (approx. 10 Hours)

Is this the scene from book 1 where Eddard executes the guy who deserted the Watch? Or when Robb executes Karstark? I ask because Eddard used a greatsword, Ice, not an axe.

I'm guessing it's Robb, because he used an axe. If not, maybe it's an ironman.

I feel like this is from one of the book's scenes but I can't think of which one...

Nicely done, although I thought Ned used his sword Ice to deliver executions?
All in all though, very nice work!

Omg ASOIAF! I love that series! Great picture by the way, but I always imagined Eddard with a short cut beard. Oh well, the picture is still way awsome. Lol.

 OMG I have been a George R.R. Martin fiend for the longest! :excited: I know this makes him proud. He always gets you in the story like you are living with the characters! Ohh and I also notice your love of using birds in your work and how at least 1 or 2 would be more detailed than the rest. Awesome signature/trademark :D you RULE!

You know... I just recognised this from that George R. Martin book. But I don't recall the wolf being there till after this scene... then again... I haven't finished the book yet. Cool stuff!

Amazing work... I love the color scheme and intended action...
So what's your secret to working something this beautiful in Photoshop in 10 hours...? It took me 35 to complete my first attempt at a full digital painting this past month: [link]

"If you don't chop me 'ead off I'll grant you three wishes?"

"Can't we talk about this?"

"Parlay?"

"Look behind you! A three-headed monkey!"

That's all I got for suggestions.... *shrug*

Does this depict a scene from the books, or just a possible scene in the seven kingdoms?
Anyway, good job.

I'm just in awe of how good this is.

The blade of the axe seems like it's angled a bit differently than the handle?
