You draw for D&D. I was wondering, do they require you to play, know, or read about Dungeons and Dragons? I've never been able to ask an artist for D&D this and have always wondered if the artist of D&D play it at all.
Do you feel this may compromise accuracy to content? Some, like Todd Lockwood and Wayne Reynolds, actually play and know content. I was just wondering if krimbeyit played at all. Thie picture is wonderful, I was just curious.
Not at all. Concept artists all over the world make pieces for properties they really don't know anything about. Cover artists for books usually get a synopsis or the artist's/editor's favorite scene or what they feel is the scene that best represents the book.
For a long running company like Wizards (OTC), you can look and see the kind of art they're looking for.
