The architecture student in me wants to speculate-out-loud why so much sci-fi artwork assumes that all modern and historical structures will be utterly demolished and replaced with "future buildings". The nerd in me wants to gawp open-mouthed at the awesomeness.
Given that my lecture notes consist largley of doodles of Hellboy fighting Batman, it's easy to see which side will win.
My friend and I are having a conversation about this piece and verious Scifi elements. At first we were like Fifth Element but then I said it was to serious feeling and a Serious feeling Fifth Element is obviously Blade Runner...but the Elements also don't all match like the C-02 and C-06 ships are very star trek yah star trek and the bullet train is very star wars, Fifth element or even slightly upgraded Batman Begins...the platform below almost reminds me of Riddick...the buildings are very Riddick too. The ship in the middle is almost Reaver like...IDK it seems more alliance worthy to me. Yah okay I see what you mean it's to clean for a reaver ship. It's also almost got a Halo aspect but not enough to be just Halo.
If you had to discribe it with only two Sifi worlds where would you catergorize it?
If anything the only reason it's not just Firefly is cause the depth of the towers goes deep as if there are people living under the foggy level as if it got so polluted that they had to build up. Other then that it's a perfect example of an Allied planet it looks almost like Ariel.
